Ken Ham and Hugh Ross exemplify a theological schism between fundamentalist paradigm and dynamic followers of Jesus. Ken Ham’s notion of scripture as a flat text hand-over instead of the living Word of scripture; this is the reason the Church fails to present the truth of Jesus Christ. Ken Ham’s notion of the Trinity is the Father, Son, and the Holy Bible instead of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Despite all of Ham’s notions about sin and death and how we can’t know anything apart from biblical revelation: God is a loving Father who created scientists like Hugh Ross and others that reason with Him and seek the truth in his Word that is not contradicted by His Creation. This somewhat brutal debate in which Dr. Ross was out numbered by those holding to a 6,24 hour day ideology, shows a Church somewhat bereft of reason.
