One Response to How bad is the Catholic Church sex abuse problem?

  1. Simon says:

This a very serious and sad situation. Sad beyond words for the victims whose lives have been changed forever by the evil acts of their abusers. Serious for the Church because it seems that too little is being done to protect the vulnerable and to utterly disown the perpetrators of such acts.
I know of many people, Catholic, non Catholic and of many different religious persuasions who feel that the Catholic Church is defined by child sexual abuse. This too is sad. The situation is, therefore, in answer to the question, very serious. So much more needs to be done and, indeed, seen to be done to protect the vulnerable and ensure that this evil cannot continue.
